Ariadna (Ari) Gutierrez

Ms. Gutierrez has resided in the Southern California area since 1987. She is employed by the Daily Journal Corporation, a publishing firm which also operates the California Newspaper Service Bureau. In her capacity as Government Advertising Division Manager, Ms. Gutierrez manages multi-media and multi-cultural social marketing and public outreach advertising for local, state and federal government agencies and non-profit organizations. The diverse campaigns she produces include promoting HIV/AIDS Prevention, Testing and Treatment, Tobacco Smoking Prevention and Treatment, LAPD and LAFD recruitment, Census Bureau employment, Foster/Adoption Family recruitment, and many other social service programs.

Volunteer organizations for which Ms. Gutierrez has been either a co-founder and/or officer include: ¡VIVA! - Gay and Lesbian Arts Organization, LG PLAN - Lesbian and Gay Professionals Access Network, The Latina/o LGBT Pride Association, and HONOR PAC - Latina/o LGBT Political Empowerment. She has also volunteered for other Latino and/or LGBT empowerment organizations and campaigns.

Raised in Nuevo Laredo Mexico and San Antonio Texas, Ms. Gutierrez is fluent in Spanish and English. She earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration and resides in Alhambra with her life partner, Connie.
