Cecilia Cabello

Cecilia works for Los Angeles City Council President Eric Garcetti.  She is his primary deputy for City Council meetings and serves as his chief liaison to Councilmembers and their staff for setting Council meeting agendas.

Cecilia assists Council President Garcetti with a wide range of policy initiatives including those related to public safety, filming issues, the Latino community, the LGBT community, immigration, gender issues, election reform, and international diplomacy.

Prior to joining Council President Garcetti's team in 2005, Cecilia served as Chief Political Advisor to the Consul General of Israel in Los Angeles, and was Special Projects Manager for Congresswoman Hilda L. Solis.  She is also the founder of Allies for Equality.

A native Angeleno, Cecilia is a graduate of Columbia University in New York where she lived for nine years. She currently resides in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles with her partner, Mario Salazar.
