L.J. Carusone
L.J. Carusone runs his own business, Carusone Consulting, which provides fund-raising services for political candidates and non-profit organizations.
Historically, he has worked many years in then non profit sector. Mr. Carusone was the Southern California Associate Director for Equality California, Managing Director of the Californian Freedom to Marry Coalition and the Co-Founder of Marriage Equality California (MECA), the first state organization designed to secure marriage for same-sex couples. He also has worked many years in television production and web design.
Mr. Carusone serves as the Government Relations Officer and Chair of the Bylaws Committee for the Grass Roots Venice Neighborhood Council and is a member of the West L.A. Democratic Club, Stonewall Democrats, Sierra Club, World Wildlife Fund, Environmental Defense Network and Venice Community Coalition.
Mr. Carusone was born in upstate New York and moved to California in 1989, where he resides in Venice. He has a B.A. in English from the University of Vermont, Burlington.
