Luis López

Luis López is an HONOR PAC founding member and is the organization’s first President. He is currently Director of HIV Policy and External Affairs at AltaMed Health Services, a federally qualified community health center is Los Angeles. Mr. López is also Co-founder and President of Lopez & Cheung, Inc., a public affairs consulting firm that conducts social science research and provides strategic consulting to nonprofits, political entities and other public-policy organizations.  Mr. Lopez is a former Senior Consultant in the financial services practice of KPMG Consulting Inc., an international IT consulting firm (now Bearing Point, Inc.), where he managed large-scale data management projects involving credit analytics for federal housing programs, such as the Government National Mortgage Association (Ginnie Mae). Prior to joining KPMG Consulting Inc., Mr. Lopez was a Social Science Analyst in the Division of Policy, Development & Research (PD&R) at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  He holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Pomona College. He resides in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles where he serves as twice-elected at-large representative on the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council’s governing board.
