HONOR PAC Statement on SCOTUS Ruling on DACA

This morning, June 18, 2020, the Supreme Court of the United States rejected Donald Trump's effort to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)! This is a major milestone in helping our immigrant communities continue to live the true American Dream. As the article from CNN below says "[the ruling] means that for now, participants in the program can continue to renew membership in the program that offers them work authorization and temporary protection from deportation."
We have to remember that this November Election is the most important election in a generation. We have seen this administration time and time again trying its hardest to hurt our most vulnerable communities! Voting this November helps our collective voice and pressures our civil leaders to stand up for what is right - regardless of party. Dreamers are working hard every day to live up to the ideals of the American Dream. Many sacrifice all that they have available for their families, communities and in many cases to serve and protect our country, the only home they know. The rights of our communities of color are still hanging in the balance...your vote and voice can and will make a difference!
As always we must continue to encourage others to be counted by participating in the 2020 US Census, register to vote, and exercise their right and privilege to vote. Each one of these actions create the momentum to a more inclusive and participatory society. They help create the United States of America.
